HI, My Name Is Dae Calicutt

I started at 20 years old, capturing moments on my phone and always finding dramatic angles of my friends. Even before owning a camera, I was drawn to emotion, perspective, and making everyday moments feel cinematic.

In 2024, a friend and I went half on my first camera. That same year, after two weeks of refining my vision, ThurrllShotz was born. The first year wasn’t about bookings it was about growth. I spent that time shooting street photography throughout my hometown of Saint Louis, Missouri, learning light, timing, and real world storytelling.

In 2025, I put my foot down and committed fully to the craft building ThurrllShotz Productions into a brand rooted in cinematic photography and intentional storytelling. My mission goes beyond visuals. In the next year or two, I aim to launch a nonprofit to provide family portraits for those who can’t afford them and create workshops that introduce kids to cameras, photography, and creative expression using art to give back and open doors.
